Students in Art Club have been working with professional artist Zoe Korda to create film posters as part of their Bronze Arts Award. Students are now confident to handle and SLR camera and edit on photoshop. The results are amazing!!!! Please see below.

          Students have been producing pieces using Bleach inspired by the theme of Identity with some outstanding results.

Students studied the work of Marcus Harvey before going on to make their own finger paint portraits. We decided to look at celebrities and who better than our very own local girls Perrie and Jade of LIttle Mix.

Minni Saengmeekun, a Year 10 student was chosen by a select panel to display her work in the National Students Art Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London, home of the Federation of British Artists.This showcase features the best young artists in the country exhibiting alongside work from some of our finest professional artists.

Mortimer Community College pupils have had the pleasure of working with Gadgie creator Alexander Millar. We are also extremely excited to announce that Alex has also recently become the schools' Arts Patron.

Work which we created druing a series of workshops with Alex went on display alongside his own at the Great North Museum: Hancock, in Newcastle. This is now proudly on display in our main reception.
